Magnet Magazine has officially premiered Bleed Electric’s “This Is My Masterpiece” music video — marking a major moment in the project’s resurrection.
Drawing power from startling visual contradictions, the video merges real-world footage with eerie CGI, intentional VFX glitches, and AI hallucinations. The result is deliberately disorienting — a visual collision where the line between human and machine dissolves.
As Magnet notes, it feels uncomfortably close to our current state of affairs.
At its core, the video is not reassurance.
It is confrontation.
“This video isn’t meant to reassure anyone,” says MUG5. “It’s meant to confront, disrupt and disturb — a mirror held to a world desperate to look away.”
Magnet frames Bleed Electric not merely as a band, but as a multimedia campaign fueled by mystery — a project that vanished from streaming platforms for over a decade before re-emerging through a reverse-release strategy.
Originally released on Halloween 2012, This Is My Masterpiece now resonates with greater urgency than it did thirteen years ago. The EP’s collision of electro, hip-hop, rock, metal, and cinematic orchestration refuses classification — and the visual counterpart deepens that ambiguity.
“If you can tell which moments are real, synthetic or imagined, you’re not paying attention,” adds MUG5.
The riddle rewards the open-minded.
